Sales Tax Exemption

If electricity is your home's primary heat source, you don't have to pay sales tax on electricity between April and November. But before taking an exemption, you must complete and return an exemption certificate.

Agricultural and industrial members are exempt from paying sales tax year round on the portion of their bills used for production. Before taking an exemption, an exemption certificate must be on file at the cooperative.
