Rates are based on the actual cost of providing service to all cooperative members. We are a not-for-profit business. That means revenue that exceeds the cost of doing business is returned to you in the form of capital credits.
Rates are higher in the summer because wholesale power costs more when it's hot. That's why rates are divided by season, with June, July and August at a higher rate, and the other months at a lower rate.
