Air Source Heat Pump Program

For highly efficient and environmentally friendly heating and cooling, a heat pump is the natural choice. Quiet and efficient, air source heat pumps (ASHP) use the heat found naturally in the air, even when it’s well below freezing outside.

Plus, installing a heat pump may qualify you for rebates and reduced electric rates making them an even greater value. Contact our Energy Service Experts at (800) 552-7658 for more details!

  • High-efficiency heating & air conditioning
  • Qualifies for 6.1¢ dual fuel rate with gas furnace back-up
  • ASHP qualifies for 6.8¢ rate in summer with load control
  • Qualifies for 5.5¢ ETS rate when combined with Steffes ComfortPlus Furnace
  • Rebates available

LREC has partnered with Zero Homes to make it easy to get an accurate heat pump quote and high-quality installation with local, vetted contractors. Each heat pump or dual fuel quote and design comes with an energy audit — no in-home visit or walkthrough required. Learn more about them here or call (218) 332-3228.

MINI-SPLIT HEAT PUMPS

Most heating and cooling systems force cooled and heated air through ductwork. However, not all home construction utilizes ductwork. Ductless mini-split systems deliver conditioned air directly into a room or zone without ductwork. They are comprised of a small outdoor unit and one or more indoor units that require nothing more than mounting capabilities and access to electricity. Mini-split ductless heat pumps offers home and business owners a cost-effective way to replace inefficient window units, space heaters and electric baseboard heaters. They can be installed in home additions, new construction, condominiums and apartments. And mini-split heat pumps are eligible for valuable rebates. For more information, contact our heat pump partners, Zero Homes, at (218) 332-3228 or visit their website.

ASHP REBATES

Rebates* for high-efficiency air source heat pumps and central air conditioners are available only through qualified contractors. Visit GRE’s QI A/C & ASHP Contractors page to find qualified contractors in your area. These contractors have agreed to the terms of the program and passed a test demonstrating their knowledge of quality installation practices. Wondering how the Inflation Reduction Act can help?
