Jeff Hildebrandt Appointed District 4 Director

The Lake Region Electric Cooperative Board of Directors appointed Jeff Hildebrandt Director of District 4 following the selection process conducted by a quorum of Board members in April. The appointment fills the vacancy left by previous Director Lee Mindemann’s resignation in January 2026.

Hildebrandt received degrees with honors in both Machine Tool Technology and Career and Technical Education (B.S.) from Alexandria Technical and Community College and Bemidji State University, respectfully, before
co-founding the Wells Academy, a local
non-profit machining organization that offered accredited, hands-on training to disadvantaged and Native American students in the surrounding area. He later co-founded Solway, MN-based Advanced Machining Services in 2011, and is currently employed with Swan Machine/Kit Masters in Perham, MN, where he serves as Senior Manufacturing Engineer.

Hildebrandt brings a professional background focused on strategic vision, operational discipline, and collaboration to his new position, and looks forward to serving with the Board to advance the cooperative’s mission through responsible governance, financial stewardship, and forward-thinking.

Jeff has recently relocated to the Dent area with his wife Shannyn and their two children, Brookston and Sandra. He is very eager to represent the members of District 4 and contributing to the Board in any way possible.
