In 2021, Lake Region Electric Cooperative (LREC) established a Virtual Member Advisory Committee (VMAC). VMAC is a member engagement program developed to gain membership guidance on various projects and ideas. LREC employees reach out to VMAC participants with new projects, concepts, and general ideas on a regular basis. Furthermore, VMAC act as a needs identifier for our members by seeking out issues, setting new goals, advocating for members, and looking at LREC priorities.
Members of VMAC offer their suggestions and feedback so together we can effectively carry out the LREC mission. In order too cater to members of varying ages and schedules, VMAC operates on a completely virtual basis. VMAC participants utilize a private Facebook group where educational materials, questions, discussions, etc. are posted.
